Twisted Hate by Ana Huang

Publication Date: January 27, 2022

Plot: He hates her...almost as much as he wants her. Gorgeous, cocky, and fast on his way to becoming a hotshot doctor, Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn’t charm—except for Jules f**king Ambrose. The beautiful redhead has been a thorn in his side since they met, but she also consumes his thoughts in a way no woman ever has. When their animosity explodes into one unforgettable night, he proposes a solution that’ll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies with benefits arrangement with simple rules. No jealousy. No strings attached. And absolutely no falling in love.

Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who’s focused on one thing: passing the attorney’s bar exam. The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable…no matter how good-looking he is. But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there’s more than meets the eye to the man she’s hated for so long. Her best friend’s brother. Her nemesis. And her only salvation.

Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them…or destroy everything they’ve worked for.

MY THOUGHTS:

Where do I even start?! SO MUCH LOVE for this book. While Rhys is my favorite Twisted series guy, Josh + Jules seriously stole my heart! I don’t know what magic Ana Huang put in this book but MY GOSH this is how enemies to lovers should be done, ladies + gents. This book tells so much more than a love story. It’s about friendship and forgiveness (of yourself and others). You can FEEL the emotions pouring out of the pages of this book.

The picnic and the bookstore date literally gave me life! Alsoooo the fact that we got our rekindled bromance back from Alex + Josh 👏🏻 I physically cried at the advice Alex gives Joshy towards the end. Truly, truly in love, and I’m dying to get my hands on Twisted Lies, the next book in the series!

FAVORITE QUOTES

“You’re it for me. Whether it’s today, tomorrow, a year, or decades from now, that’ll never change.”

“The possibility of you is better than the reality of anyone else.”

“I would take a thousand fights with Jules over a thousand easy days with anyone else. Because I didn't want easy. I wanted her.”

“When I’m not with her, I wish she were there. When I am with her, I want that moment to last forever.”

“Before, Jules was beautiful in the way grass was green and oceans were deep. It was a fact of life, but not something that particularly touched me. Now, she was beautiful in a way that made me want to drown in her, to let her fill every inch of my soul until she fucking consumed me. It didn't matter if it killed me, because in a world where I was surrounded by death, she was the only thing that made me feel alive.”

“Our first impressions stick with us the longest, but contrary to popular opinion, some people do change. The only problem is, they change faster than our prejudices do.”
