MY THOUGHTS:

Immediately after reading It Ends With Us, I knew I had to dive into Ugly Love. I had heard so many incredible things about them both that I didn’t hesitate.


This book was a whole different type of hurt. Ugly Love has stolen a special place in my heart. I ADORED it. Ugly love is beautiful, sexy, heart-wrenching, powerful, compelling, mysterious, and emotional with one hell of a storyline.


We first meet Tate when she’s moving in with her brother for a fresh start. Immediately, she runs into Miles Archer who is literally passed out in the hallway in front of her brother's door. Despite the fact that Tate judges him way too soon she finds out just how broken and sad Miles actually is.


Tate was frustrating in some ways but she didn’t deserve what she went through even when she knew what she was getting into. I fell in love with the way Colleen wrote Miles, I was more invested with his story and all the baggage he had. I needed to know why Miles was soooo adamant not to let himself fall in love with Tate, and CoHo definitely teased and built it up beautifully.


The tension and everything left unsaid between Tate and Miles was just ….. intoxicating. I was left wanting more and more. By the end Tate and Miles’ story had me reduced to a sobbing, mushy mess. It has broken me. What kind of sorcery does Colleen Hoover possess to completely compel her readers with her writing?! I know I’m not the only one that hangs on her every word.


I loved the characters. I especially enjoyed the friendship between Tate and 80-year-old Cap. It was so cute. The character development was amazing. Like in all of Colleen’s books this one didn’t disappoint! I definitely think this could be a book I could re-read over and over again. There was just something about it that stood out. And now I have a book hangover. 100% recommend this!
