Katie + Jesse are the sweetest lovely couple! Katie and I a few years back when we worked together in Orange Beach, bonding over our love for the Jonas Brothers and (you guessed it!) Disney World. I couldn't have been more thrilled when Katie reached out to me and asked if I would be her photographer for her big day!
Katie + Jesse had chosen to get married in Disney World at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa's Wedding Pavillion. It was the *perfect* fit for Katie and her dream of being a Disney princess for a day! I adore photographing destination weddings, and when the venue is something as magical as Walt Disney World, it only adds to my excitement.
Though I have visited Disney World countless times throughout my life, it was my first time photographing a wedding here, and it was so incredibly special. I could tell that Katie + Jesse's vision and attention to detail mirrored by own heart - they truly thought of everything!
The day started in the bridal suite at Disney's Boardwalk Resort for details and getting ready photos. We had a morning of laughter and excitement while the girls prepared for the rest of the day. Then on to the venue we went to meet the groom before the wedding began! Katie + Jesse chose not to do a first look, so he saw her in her glamorous princess dress for the first time while walking down the aisle. It was beautiful! Jesse's father Ron performed the ceremony - which just made it that much more special.
After the ceremony, we took family and bridal party portraits before Katie, Jesse and I adventured around the Grand Floridian for some of the most beautiful wedding day portraits I could have imagined. With the view of Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle in sight, they couldn't have picked a better place to get married.
As the sun began setting, we headed toward EPCOT where the wedding reception was set up in a private party area in the United Kingdom Pavillion of the World Showcase. EPCOT was equally gorgeous as the wedding pavillion, and we had the cake and champagne before wrapping up the day with a spectacular view of the fireworks show and a private ride on the Norway Pavillion's Frozen Ever After ride.
Katie + Jesse, your wedding was such a heart-stealer. I loved photographing your Disney Dream wedding in February. I wish you both a happy life together!
